Clayton Kershaw's Challenge

People say that the odds of being a Major leaguer are one in a million.

I want to share with you the story of Clayton Kershaw who is a left-handed starting pitcher for the LA Dagers of Major League Baseball.

Most famous sports players often have a scandal with celebrities like actress,  super models and singers while Kershaw married his girlfriend Ellen in 2010, he loved since his high school.

Kershaw and his wife didn't spend their honeymoon at a luxurious resort. Kershaw visited Zambia with his wife as a honeymoon destination. 

After the trip, Kershaw announced his dream of building a house and a school for orphans called Hope's home because he was shocked by African children's miserable life during the trip in Zambia.

To accomplish his goal, Kershaw promised a donation of $100 per strikeout from 2011. 

When Kershaw won the 2011 Players Choice Award, he donated $260,000 to Hope's Home. 

Still, every year Kershaw and his wife visit Zambia to do voluntary service for a month when other Major leaguers focus on their physical training during out of season.
